What a great mothers day. Jared really did great! He stayed up late Saturday and made sure the house was nice and clean when I woke up. He even made a yummy breakfast and dinner and did the dishes! The boys were adorable. They made such cute things at school and in primary for me. Ethan made a picture frame with jewels and hearts around it with his picture in it at preschool. In primary he made a cute paper flower. He was so proud of his gifts. He also gave me a cute necklace I've been wanting for awhile, I wore it to church. Calvin's class had a "tea" party for the moms...two weeks before he asked me if we drink tea. I told him only herbal tea...he looked worried, until the day he invited me to the secret party and told me they would have lemonade too. They sang two songs and recited a cute poem as a whole class. Calvin's part was "I love you like bears love cuddles." It was so cute I got teary-eyed seeing my little boy has grown up. He also made a cute pot with his picture glued to a paper flower with a poem about growing up. A funny thing he wrote about me on his mommy fact sheet was that my job is the "dishis", my favorite food was "lests" lettuce and my favorite place to go was "torgit" target. That pretty much summarizes this mom's life:) Okay one more cute thing. In March Calvin and I had stopped by a garage sale I told him he had $1 to spend. His item was 50 cents so he decided to buy me something. It was a really cute candle holder which i suggested could be for mother's day. When I got home I put it up on a high shelf for later. Jared told him that they were going to wrap some gifts for mom. He went immediately to the shelf and pulled it down. That's Calvin for you, so smart and thoughtful. Jared had the boys make me cards which were cute beyond words each with a crayon drawing of me and them together with lots of hearts and flowers.

Birthdays 1, 4, and 6

Augie is one. Beef is four. Dash is six. They are great brothers who love and care for each other. They are amazing sons who make us smile everyday. They teach us so much about what really matters...family, unconditional love, laughter, fun, friends, hard work (if there is an reward), obedience, and kindness. Happy Birthday Boys!!!

Beef is Back

He is doing great. He is our active, fun little boy again. He is so happy to be with his buddies. The scar on his hand is healing and looks better everyday. Physical therapy sessions have ended for now. He can make a fist, but is still is having a little trouble bending his wrist. We will have home therapy for awhile and see how it goes. He has been such a trooper. Every night his hand is put into a hard plastic splint that looks like a streamline boxing glove. This helps his ligaments stretch while he is relaxed and asleep. It can't be comfortable, but he simple accepts that it is helping his hand and doesn't complain. We love you little boy.
